Climate change is the biggest problem humanity has ever faced. WINZ is the global movement promoting the role of water in mitigating climate change. It currently has three vacant positions:
Position 1: Research Officer
Research the latest information about water’s contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Main topics: peatland, rice growing, wastewater treatment, supporting energy transition.
Position 2: Communications Officer
Manage WINZ’s website and social media presence (mainly LinkedIn). Proactively communicate WINZ’s messages to a wide range of audiences. Attract new members to join WINZ.
Position 3: Advocacy Officer
Identify the advocacy channels through which WINZ can reach political leaders and decision-makers. Carry out advocacy activities, together with the Chair.
All three positions are for volunteers, home/remote based, flexible hours, estimated 2-4 days per month, initially for 1 year, with full induction and line-management by myself. The person specification for each is at least a first degree in a water-related area, plus demonstrable skills and experience relevant to the position being applied for.
