Offer Description
- Temporary, full-time associate position of a teaching assistant (m/f) for a 6-year period in the scientific area of technical sciences, the field of interdisciplinary technical sciences, the branch of environmental engineering at the Department of Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering.
- Temporary, full-time associate position of a teaching assistant (m/f) for a 6-year period in the scientific area of technical sciences, the field of interdisciplinary technical sciences, the branch of environmental engineering at the Department of Water Management at the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering.
- Temporary, full-time associate position of a teaching assistant (m/f) for a 6-year period in the scientific area of technical sciences, the field of mining, petroleum and geological engineering, the branch of mining at the Department of Geotechnics at the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering.
- Permanent, full-time position ofan expert associate (m/f) in the system of science and higher education in the scientific area of technical sciences, the field of technical sciences, the field of interdisciplinary technical sciences, the field of environmental engineering or the field of civil engineering, the branch of geotechnics in the Centre for Student and Research Support at the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering, with a six-month trial period.
Besides general employment conditions, candidates applying for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd vacancies have to fulfil the requirements prescribed by the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act (NN 119/22), and for the 4th vacancy candidates have to fulfil the requirements prescribed by the Ordinance on Selection Procedure and Promotion of Expert Associates at the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering (posted on www.gfv.unizg.hr).
In a signed application form candidates have to provide personal data and they have to state the position they are applying for. Besides an application form, candidates have to submit the following documents: a CV with information about their work experience, the data on scientific, teaching and professional activities with a list of papers (for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th vacancies), proof of years of service issued by the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute, proof of citizenship, proof of active knowledge of the English language and proof of computer literacy (a certificate or an applicant`s statement).
Those applicants whose mother tongue is not Croatian have to submit proof of knowledge of the Croatian language, level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
In addition to the above-mentioned requirements, candidates applying for the 1st vacancy have to submit a copy of a graduate diploma in technical sciences or a decision on the recognition of a foreign higher education qualification for those candidates who have gained their qualification abroad. The length of a study, GPA and additional achievements (the Rector`s Award, the Dean`s Award, student tutorship, published scientific/professional papers and laboratory work experience) will also be taken into account in the selection procedure.
In addition to the above-mentioned requirements, candidates applying for the 2nd vacancy have to submit a copy of a graduate diploma in technical sciences or a decision on the recognition of a foreign higher education qualification for those candidates who have gained their qualification abroad. The length of a study, GPA and additional achievements (the Rector`s Award, the Dean`s Award, published scientific/professional papers, knowledge of topics related to water resources, conference and workshop presentations) will also be taken into account in the selection procedure.
In addition to the above-mentioned requirements, candidates applying for the 3rd vacancy have to submit a copy of a graduate diploma in technical sciences or a decision on the recognition of a foreign higher education qualification for those candidates who have gained their qualification abroad. The length of a study, GPA and additional achievements (the Rector`s Award, the Dean`s Award and other awards, published scientific/professional papers and abstracts, knowledge of topics related to water resources, participation in and organisation of conferences, workshops and professional development courses, participation in knowledge competitions, exercising a leadership function, participation in projects and programmes related to science popularisation, experience of public speaking, developed communication skills and workplace autonomy) will also be taken into account in the selection procedure.
In addition to the above-mentioned requirements, candidates applying for the 4th vacancy have to submit a copy of a graduate diploma in technical sciences or a decision on the recognition of a foreign higher education qualification for those candidates who have gained their qualification abroad.
Applicants who state in their application that they have advantage over other candidates according to special regulations have to submit prescribed documents and they have advantage over other applicants only under equal conditions.
Applicants who state in their application that they have advantage over other candidates pursuant to Article 102 of Croatian Homeland War Veterans and their Families Act (OG121/17, 98/19, 84/21, 156/23), in addition to the application form and proof that they fulfil the required criteria also have to submit evidence stipulated by Article 103, subsection 1 of that Law. Untimely and incomplete applications will not be considered. The selection procedure will be carried out according to the Ordinance on Job Vacancy Announcement of the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering, University of Zagreb, which is posted on the Faculty website (www.gfv.unizg.hr).
Applicants who fulfil the required criteria will be tested/interviewed with the aim of evaluating their suitability for the position they are applying for. The results of the procedure will be posted on the official webpage of the Faculty (www.gfv.unizg.hr).
The deadlines for submitting applications are: for the 1st and 4th vacancies 30 th September 2026, for the 2nd vacancy 31st August 2026, for the 3rd vacancy 09th July 2026.
