Detailed Description

About the Role

As the Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will undertake research to carry out related water experiments to underpin wastewater treatment technology. This position is part of a research project funded by the ARC Linkage project (LP230100235). The incumbent will carry out relevant water experiments, prepare and present results in papers and conferences, present at seminars, and co supervise PhD students. The incumbent is expected to have expertise in water/wastewater treatment and will be expected to support the activities of the research team and apply for independent research fellowships or funding.

About You

The incumbent is expected to have expertise in water and wastewater treatment, with experience in developing collaborative research activities with academic, industry or government partners.

As the successful applicant, you will also have;

• A PhD Degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field

• Demonstrated track record in publishing in top journals

• Willingness to contribute to seek research funding from external sources

• Ability to rigorously design experiments and to perform experiments under well-controlled conditions

• Ability to critically think and work independently

Remuneration/Salary

Base Salary Range: $97,955 to $119,303 pa (Level A)  

This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary. 

This position is full-time and an appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
