Skills/Qualifications
The successful candidate will be required to carry out, amongst other things, the following tasks:
Support research relating to the execution of tasks to meet the project’s objectives.
Support the maintenance of instrumentation installed in the field.
Support the preparation and carrying out of field sampling to measure flows using benthic cameras, microsensors and other instrumentation.
Assist with the preparation and execution of field sampling to collect long sediment cores.
Process samples collected in situ for various biogeochemical variables (chlorophyll, organic matter, organic carbon, etc.).
Processing data and carrying out statistical analysis of environmental variables
Analysing data and presenting it in spreadsheets and graphs for subsequent use in technical reports, project reports or for the preparation of scientific articles
Maintaining equipment and the laboratory, and placing orders.
Work closely and collaborate with the other researchers on the project in activities related to the project’s implementation, such as participating in and organising coordination meetings, disseminating results, and preparing results for publication, etc.
