The Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation, through the Horn of Africa Groundwater for Resilience Project (HoAGW4RP), is inviting applications for the second cohort of its Internship Programme, funded by the World Bank and coordinated with the Regional Centre on Groundwater Resources (RCGW).
The 12-month, non-renewable internship offers 65 places to young graduates in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, natural resources management, civil engineering (water option), sociology and gender development studies, GIS/Remote Sensing, ICT and communication, data science, chemistry, hydrometeorology/climate analysis, hydrology economics, finance, and other water-related engineering fields.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be aged 25–35, hold a relevant bachelor’s degree obtained within the last two years, have not benefited from any other GoK-funded internship, and have had no formal employment in their area of specialization since graduating.
Interns will be deployed across agencies and counties implementing the HoAGW4R Project, gaining hands-on experience aligned with the project’s Component 2A focus on generating groundwater information and strengthening regional and national groundwater institutions.
