About the Role:

The Coastal Projects Coordinator contributes to the sustainable management of natural resources in the Green Adelaide region through the provision of high-level advice, support and specialist expertise, and the coordination and management of coast and marine projects and programs in accordance with the Green Adelaide Regional Landscape Plan and Board objectives. The role supports the Green Adelaide Board, refer Green Adelaide.

Contract: Temporary Backfill Contract until 11 June 2027 at 0.5 FTE or 18.75 hours per week

Essential Criteria: A current Class C driver’s licence

Desirable Qualifications: An appropriate tertiary qualification in natural resource management, environmental science or equivalent is desirable.

Special Conditions:

  • May be required to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.
  • May be required to participate in Biosecurity emergency response.
  • You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or provide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allows you to work in Australia.
  • This position will be located at Waymouth St, Adelaide but may be required to work from another office within the region.
  • Some out-of-hours work may be required as part of the position.

A successful applicant who is not currently employed by the Department for Environment and Water will be required to have an original photo identification document sighted and provide a valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) issued within the last 12 months. This information must be supplied by all applicants who are shortlisted for interview.

Remuneration: ASO5 ($92,122 min – $102,456 max) p.a., pro rata for part time hours.
