Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position

A new Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available with Prof. Tiantian Yang in the School for Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Research Areas
Researchers with backgrounds and interests in one or two of the following areas are encouraged to apply:
- Hydrologic modeling
- Flood forecasting
- Artificial intelligence
- Water resources planning and management
- Reservoir operations
- Subseasonal-to-seasonal (S2S) ensemble forecasting
- Snow hydrology, modeling, and observations
- Extreme weather and climate change
- Ensemble streamflow prediction
- Large language model (LLM) applications in water resources, hydrology, and weather forecasting
- Large-scale hydrologic data and modeling
The postdoctoral research fellow will lead innovative research activities, explore emerging research directions, and collaborate closely with faculty members and graduate students.
The position will be supported by funded research projects. The initial appointment will be for one year, with renewal based on satisfactory performance and the availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will receive a competitive benefits package, including health and dental insurance.
