🌎 Consulting Opportunity | Water Stewardship & Replenishment – Brazil

Global Water Challenge (GWC) is looking for an experienced Water Stewardship & Replenishment Consultant based in Rio de Janeiro to support our growing portfolio of corporate-funded water projects across Brazil.

This is a part-time consulting engagement, estimated at approximately 80–100 hours per month, and is well suited for an experienced water professional looking to contribute technical expertise while maintaining flexibility for other professional activities.

The consultant will work closely with GWC’s regional and technical teams, implementing organizations, and local stakeholders to support:

  • Technical oversight and monitoring of water stewardship and replenishment projects
  • Review of project designs, implementation progress, and expected water benefits
  • Collection and quality assurance of technical evidence and project documentation
  • Coordination with implementing partners on monitoring and reporting
  • Identification and follow-up of implementation risks, delays, and technical issues
  • Support for project Factsheets and corporate water reporting

We are particularly interested in professionals with 5+ years of experience in water resources, watershed restoration, water stewardship, environmental management, or related fields. Experience with Volumetric Water Benefit Accounting (VWBA) and corporate water replenishment programs is highly desirable.

📍 Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

⏱️ Level of effort: Approximately 80–100 hours/month

🏢 Work arrangement: Hybrid, including periodic work from the donor’s offices in Rio de Janeiro and remote work

🗣️ Languages: Professional Portuguese and English required; Spanish is a plus
