Offer Description
University of Zagreb Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering, 7 Hallerova aleja, 42000 Varaždin is announcing the following vacancy
1 Permanent, full-time position of an assistant professor (m/f) in the scientific area of technical sciences, the field of interdisciplinary technical sciences, the branch of environmental engineering at the Department of Water Management at the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering.
Candidates have to fulfil the requirements prescribed by the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Law (OG No. 119/22) as well as the National University, Scientific and Artistic Criteria (OG No. 42/2026).
Besides a signed application form, applicants also have to submit the following documents: a CV with their signature (not more than a full text page), data on scientific, teaching and professional activities, a notarized copy of a diploma of an appropriate qualification and an academic degree or a decision on the recognition of a foreign higher education qualification for those candidates who have gained their qualification abroad, a list and offprint of papers, a proof of paper citation and journal indexation, documents which confirm that candidates fulfil, the National University, Scientific and Artistic Criteria, proof of years of service issued by the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute and proof of citizenship.
Those applicants whose mother tongue isn`t Croatian have to submit proof of knowledge of the Croatian language, level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Applicants who state in their application that they have advantage over other candidates according to special regulations have to submit prescribed documents.
Applicants who state in their application that they have advantage over other candidates according to the Article 102 of the Law on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and their Families (OG121/17, 98/19, 84/21) besides an application and proof that they fulfil the required criteria also have to submit evidence prescribed by the Article 103, subsection 1of that Law. The selection procedure will be carried out according to the Ordinance on Job Vacancy Announcement at the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering, University of Zagreb, which is posted on the Faculty website.
Untimely and incomplete applications will not be considered. Applicants who fulfil the required criteria will be interviewed. The result of the procedure will be posted on the official webpage of the Faculty www.gfv.unizg.hr.
