Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed design, and implementation of bulk water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, intake structures, and water resource systems.
- Perform advanced hydraulic modelling using Civil 3D IDAS and transient/surge analyses using KY Pipe.
- Prepare and lead technical proposals and tender submissions for complex water projects.
- Manage project deliverables and ensure alignment with client requirements and project objectives.
- Oversee health, safety, and environmental (HSE) risk identification and mitigation during design and construction.
- Drive design improvements to enhance cost efficiency, material optimisation, and project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance, supervision, and mentorship to junior engineers, technicians, and draughtsmen.
Education & Experience
- BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering (Mandatory).
- Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng (Mandatory).
- Minimum of 5 years’ post-graduate experience in Civil Engineering within the water sector.
- Experience delivering multidisciplinary water infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record in the design and delivery of civil water-related engineering projects.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong technical expertise in water engineering design and project execution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience with KY Pipe software is advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of hydraulic modelling and surge analysis.
- Strong understanding of engineering standards, codes of practice, and quality assurance principles.
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environmental (HSE) compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management abilities.
