Your Tasks
- Regional Responsibility: You coordinate project implementation in the Francophone countries of Africa, with a particular focus on water supply and sanitation
- Project Coordination and Control: In close cooperation with local office managers and project leaders, you oversee contract management, project resources, quality assurance, invoicing and payment tracking, claims management, and project finances
- Client Management and Representation: You act as the main point of contact for our clients on site and actively represent Fichtner in the region
- Management of Regional offices: You supervise and manage our offices and facilities in the region
- Business Development and Bid Management: You identify market opportunities and suitable cooperation partners, prepare technical and financial proposals, including prequalifications / Expressions of Interest (EoIs), and manage proposal follow-up
- Project Support: When required, you provide technical support to projects or take on project management duties within or outside the region
- Travel and Long-Term Perspective: You undertake regular business travel to the countries in the region; in the long term, taking on responsibility for additional or different regions is possible
Your Profile
- University degree in Civil Engineering, Water Supply and Sanitation, Process/Environmental Technology, or a comparable field of study
- At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in international project business, ideally with exposure to Francophone markets in Africa
- Proven experience in managing complex infrastructure, water, or consulting projects
- Full professional proficiency in German and French
- Entrepreneurial mindset, leadership skills, and confidence in dealing with clients, partners, and international stakeholders
- Willingness to undertake regular international travel to the countries in the region
