The University of Dubrovnik is seeking a motivated Professional Associate to join the research team working on the project “Development of a Ballast Water Management System to Prevent the Spread of Invasive Species (BalastIN)”. The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of research and project activities related to ballast water management and the prevention of the spread of invasive aquatic species Research Field

Skills/Qualifications
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- participating in the implementation of project activities and research tasks;
- conducting field sampling activities;
- processing and analysing biological samples in the laboratory;
- participating in zooplankton identification and developing expertise in taxonomy;
- collecting, processing and analysing research data and contributing to the interpretation of results;
- assisting in the preparation of project reports and other technical documentation;
- supporting the organisation and implementation of project activities;
- contributing to communication, dissemination and visibility activities;
- providing administrative and organisational support for project implementation;
performing other project-related duties assigned by the Project Coordinator
Specific Requirements
Applicants must fulfil the following requirements:
Essential Qualifications
- Master’s degree (graduate university degree or equivalent) in Natural Sciences, Biotechnical Sciences, or Interdisciplinary Sciences;
- proficiency in Croatian;
- proficiency in English;
- good computer skills;
- valid Category B driving licence;
- willingness to participate in fieldwork;
- ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
