About IIWM
The International Institute of Waste Management (IIWM) is a “Not-for-Profit” organization established in India in the year 2009, as a Ministry of Science and Technology Program at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. This successful project then evolved into a full-fledged organization to support the Government in creating an impetus in the field of Waste Management activities. IIWM works towards bridging the gap between the Governmental programmes, schemes, legislations, and the ‘on-field execution’ by implementing agencies. IIWM works in the field of Solid Waste Management (E-Waste, Hazardous Waste, Bio-Medical Waste, Domestic Waste, Construction and Demolition Waste, Non-Hazardous Industrial Waste and Agricultural and Horticultural waste), Sanitation, Wastewater Management, Resource Efficiency, Entrepreneurship Development, Policy and Regulatory Framework, Outreach programmes and Climate Change aspects of Waste Management.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Scientific Officer to join our laboratory team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis of water samples (surface water, groundwater, wastewater, drinking water), maintaining quality assurance standards, and preparing structured scientific reports.
The ideal candidate possesses strong hands-on expertise in wet chemistry and instrumental analysis, along with technical documentation and report-writing skills.
Essential Qualification: PG in Environment Engineering/ Biological Sciences/ Physical sciences or Graduation with Experience in Waste management or Environment Management or related disciplines.
Desirable Skills: Good communication skills, Proficiency in Computer operation and AI Applications, Keen interest in waste management and sustainability projects.
Tenure: Project-based (extendable based on performance).
