  • Work content and job descriptionThe appointed professor is required to conduct research related to planning and management of adaptation strategies for meteorological and water-related disasters that are expected to intensify in the future due to climate change, as well as on methodologies for the rational formulation and implementation of comprehensive disaster risk reduction measures. The candidate is also required to contribute to enhancing societal resilience through risk communication, with a focus on human behavior before, during, and after disasters.
    Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for educating students in the Social Informatics Course at the Graduate School of Informatics, Kyoto University. A Ph.D. or an equivalent degree is required, and the candidate is expected to be able to use Japanese on a daily basis.

If the discretionary labor system is not chosen the working hours are from 8:30 to 17:15 with a break between 12:00 to 13:00. Overtime may be ordered.
