About the job
The Water Security and IWRM Specialist shall meet the following minimum requirements:
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in water security assessment, water resources management, flood risk management, wastewater management, or IWRM implementation in both rural and urban/peri-urban contexts
Proven ability to conduct system-level assessments and develop practical IWRM frameworks and intervention models, ideally at sub-national level in developing country contexts
Experience in at least one assignment involving international or comparative analysis in water security assessment, water resources management, flood risk management, wastewater management, or IWRM implementation
Strong ability to identify, analyse, and adapt best practices from multiple country contexts to the local Sindh setting
Experience applying the GWP IWRM principles and SDG 6.5.1 monitoring methodology or comparable water governance/monitoring frameworks in at least one relevant assignment, training, report, publication, or advisory activity.
Familiarity with climate-related water challenges, including flooding, drought, and salinity, is required
Experience in Sindh, Pakistan, or comparable rural and/or climate-vulnerable contexts is desirable.
