Your impact

As a Principal Hydraulic Modeller and Hydrologist, you will working on multiple projects for ME, ANZ, India and/or UK clients / lead offices. 

Key duties include:

  • Working on various river flood modelling projects and studies in line with client requirement.
  • Integrated Hydraulic modelling 1D-2D model build / updates
  • Storm Network Modelling / Design
  • Calibration, validation, impact and mitigation assessment, flood mapping, etc.
  • Hydrological modelling
  • Internal / external project discussions / meetings and presentations.
  • Report writing and co-ordination with the lead office or client, 
  • Technical and project support to the team on various project.
  • Liaison with lead offices for business development
  • Working in collaboration with other disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall project.
  • Project / Team management
  • Maintain high work standards, minimise production errors and attention to detail
  • Assisting and participating in developing yourself and other team members to their full potential
  • Building a profile in the industry and keeping up-to-date with innovations and developments.
  • Works with Graduate and intermediate hydraulic modellers, senior or lead modellers and project managers
  • Support the Team as required.
  • Reports to the River Modelling Team Lead and/or Lead office manager

We welcome applications from qualified professionals currently based overseas who are open to relocating to India. Relocation support may be provided for exceptional candidates having extensive experience in delivering Design Build water infrastructure projects.

Here’s what you’ll need

Key software tools:

  • Hydraulic Modelling: WaterGEMS & SewerGEMS, 
  • Additional Tools (Preferred): InfoWorks ICM & InfoWorks WS Pro
  • GIS: ArcGIS Pro, QGIS
  • Design & Coordination: Civil 3D, Navisworks
  • Coordination/ Clash Detection: Navisworks, Revizto

Work Experience

  • B.E in Civil Engineering and MS/M.Tech in Water Resources / Environmental Engineering from a recognized University
  • 8 to 15 yrs of hands-on experience in working with integrated 1D-2D flood modelling projects including storm drainage network.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience on project management
  • Experience on modelling tools such as Tuflow-Estry, Infoworks ICM, Flood Modeller Pro, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, MIKE etc.
  • Experience on GIS tools such as Qgis, ArcGIS, MapInfo, etc.
  • Sound technical knowledge and understanding of pluvial, fluvial, and coastal/tidal hydraulic modelling
  • Knowledge on hydrology calculations / models and practices related to UK, ME and/or ANZ
  • Good report writing, well-developed interpersonal skills and working in team are seen as essential attributes.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with hydrology calculations / models and practices related to UK, ME and/or ANZ will be an added advantage.
  • Working towards Chartership or recently Chartered will be advantage.
  • Flexible to adopt new work /challenge work as per business requirement

Hybrid Work Expectation: Average office presence of 3 days per week or as per Company Policy, with travel for client/site meetings and occasional team meetings.
