About the role
As a Water Resources GIS Specialist, you will support advisory and engineering services within water management and flood risk management projects. You will play a key role in transforming spatial data and modelling results into meaningful insights that support decision-making. You will join the Water Resources Advisory team in Poland, contributing to projects in flood hazard mapping, risk assessment, and water quality.
Your key responsibilities
GIS & Spatial Analysis
- Perform spatial analyses supporting water resources and flood risk projects
- Prepare GIS inputs for hydraulic models (1D/2D)
- Process model outputs into spatial datasets and develop flood hazard and inundation maps
- Conduct analyses of land use, exposure (population, infrastructure), and spatial risk
- Create high-quality cartographic products
- Support development of automated GIS workflows
Data Management
- Design and maintain spatial databases and data structures
- Process, validate and integrate multi-source datasets
- Support development of centralized data repositories for project teams
Advisory & Project Delivery
- Deliver spatial insights supporting risk assessment and planning
- Translate complex analyses into clear outputs for clients and stakeholders
- Contribute to multidisciplinary projects (hydraulic, environmental, planning)
- Prepare technical documentation, visualisations and proposal materials
- Ensure high-quality delivery aligned with scope, timeline and standards

Your profile
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Geoinformatics, Geography, Environmental Engineering or similar
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in GIS analysis
- Proficiency in GIS tools (ArcGIS or QGIS)
- Experience in spatial data processing and geospatial analysis
- Experience working with modelling outputs is an advantage
- Python knowledge (automation, workflows) is a plus
- Ability to streamline and automate processes
Languages
- English at minimum B2 level
- Polish at minimum B2 level
