The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is currently implementing its project Wastewater Treatment, Reuse and Water Supply (WTR) in Jordan. As part of this project; GIZ intends to award a contract for Construction Works according to the FIDIC Yellow Book contract:
The scope of work includes:
Design, Construction, Commissioning and (optional) One Year Operation of a Wastewater Treatment Plant serving Azraq Refugee Camp and Azraq Town.
This tender is addressed to local registered companies in Jordan that are classified in the Field of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and holding a First-Grade Classification which are interested in taking part in the tender procedure are welcomed to apply based on the sufficient financial, technical, commercial and human capacity.
The Contractor shall, in general, fulfill all obligations assigned to the Contractor under the FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Plant and Design-Build (Yellow Book).
The WWTP has been designed to treat the tankered wastewater and septage generated from both Azraq Camp and Azraq Town, The facility shall be capable of treating an average daily flow of 1,100 m³/day , with influent characteristics of 900 mg/L BOD₅ , 2,230 mg/L COD, 1,600 mg/L TSS, 220 mg/L Total Nitrogen, and 25 mg/L Total Phosphorus.
For this purpose, they shall send an email to the following email address: JO_Quotation@giz.de,and request the complete call of the Expression of Interest. The subject line must be clearly marked as follows: “EoI –10023388 Design, Construction, Commissioning and (optional) One Year Operation of a Wastewater Treatment Plant serving Azraq Refugee Camp and Azraq Town”
GIZ will then send the complete set of documents of the call of EOI to those companies, including more information about all criteria to be fulfilled and documents to be submitted with the Expression of Interest.
Please note that the deadline for submission of the first Expression of Interest by the companies to the following address: JO_Quotation@giz.de, is 12.07.2026 at 1:00PM.
– E-mails of interest and applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
– Empty e-mails not indicating the tender subject, or the name of the company will not be considered.
– Tender documents will be provided to the eligible interested bidders (free of charge) after screening all e-mails of interest received.
– Joint ventures between companies will be accepted.
– Companies who send separate emails of interest but are registered under the same owner(s) will not be accepted.
– GIZ reserves itself the right to select the companies for the shortlist. For procedural reasons, no information on the status of evaluation will be given pending the decision on concluding the shortlist, and we therefore ask you to refrain from making inquiries either in person, via e-mail or telephone.
