Offer Description
The position is a research contract within the Institute of Biophysics (CNR), based on projects focused on the study of dissolved organic matter (DOM) dynamics in natural waters, with particular emphasis on the role of coastal groundwater in the Mediterranean carbon cycle. Specifically, the selected researcher will carry out their activity within the framework of the funded research projects ‘MED-GUARD Agreement IBF / University of Toulon UTLN – laboratoire MIO – UMR CNRS 7294’ and the self-funded research project ‘Dynamics of dissolved organic matter in natural waters’.
The selected researcher will be actively involved in the following activities:
- Sampling and processing natural water samples (inland waters, marine waters, and groundwater)
- Analyzing samples using spectroscopic techniques
- Data processing and interpretation
- Writing scientific articles
The research falls within biological, physical, and chemical sciences, and is carried out under the supervision of the project’s scientific coordinator.
