Objective and Purpose of the Assignment
Team of Individual Consultants for the Supervision Services (Employer’s Representative) needs to work
for the DBO Contract for the construction of 17.3 MLD Tukucha Wastewater Treatment Plant is required and Construction Supervision Engineer (CSE) will be one of the key expert in the team.
Scope of Work
The Construction Supervision Engineer (CSE) – National will review and monitor the contractors engaged
in construction of the civil works for the wastewater treatment plant, ensuring timely progress,
enforcing specified materials and workmanship requirements, and ensuring quality of construction.
Detailed Tasks and/or Expected Output
Task 1: Assist the TL to carry out a review of the design and specifications of the construction of
civil works required for the wastewater treatment plant. This includes the contractor’s designs for
civil works, cost estimates, and all other specifications.
Task 2: Assist the TL to assess the quality of arrangements in place for repair and maintenance
activities on civil works.
Task 3: Work with site engineer, DTL and the engineering team of the construction contractor for the
wastewater treatment plant in closely monitoring the quality of construction works, work progress,
notify the non-compliances & work progress slippages and safety of site works.
Task 4: Prepare a monitoring system for the construction of civil works for the wastewater treatment
plant.
(i) Prepare guidelines for the Construction Site Inspector (CSI) National to follow in monitoring
construction of civil works for the wastewater treatment plant.
(ii) Prepare a report format for the Construction Site Inspector (CSI) National to use in reporting on
monitoring.
Task 5: Involve in the reports preparation in coordination with site supervision and other specialist
staff.
Task 6: Assist the Team leader and deputy team leader with any other tasks related to civil engineering,
as required.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
The Engineer shall preferably have a post-graduate degree in Civil Engineering. The Specialist shall
have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the design and construction of civil works, provision of
construction supervision services, management of quality assurance procedures, and maintenance of
quality records, including materials and equipment used in civil works construction.
Minimum General Experience: 18 Years
Minimum Specific Experience (relevant to assignment): 15 Years
