The Opportunity
As an Environmental Policy and Governance Associate Analyst, you will have the opportunity to build your research, analytical, and writing skills while supporting projects focused on environmental, natural resources, public health, and workplace safety issues. You will help conduct research, analyze data, and prepare materials that inform policy, regulatory, and program decisions. The successful candidate will be intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn while supporting multiple projects in a collaborative team environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews using internet-based search techniques and research databases.
- Using independent judgement and discretion, conduct quantitative analysis to support data-driven policy and regulatory support for environmental, public health, workforce, and housing programs.
- Contribute to the development of project deliverables by drafting sections and preparing tables and charts.
- Apply knowledge of computer-based word processing, presentation, spreadsheet and database applications to project work.
- Participate in meetings with clients and other external partners by telephone or in person and take meeting notes and prepare summaries.
- Keep abreast of trends and developments in the proposed field(s) of specialization, by for example, attending formal training to enhance quantitative/qualitative analysis skills, professional association meetings, and in-house professional development activities and events.
- Participate in business development by contributing to the proposal development process, for example, by compiling staffing and corporate qualifications materials.
What We Value
- Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of relevant experience
- The preferred candidate will have a degree in economics, data science, public policy, resource/environmental economics, or a related field
- Additional coursework in environmental science, public and/or environmental health, chemistry, biology, mathematics, statistics and/or related fields is desirable
- Demonstrated experience utilizing quantitative research, qualitative research, writing, and analytical thinking skills
- Exercises good judgement and handles information responsibly.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well in fast paced environments, balance the demands of working on multiple projects simultaneously, and collaborate on teams

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $45,000 to $62,500 and may vary by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis.
