School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) is a leading school for sustainable built environment. The key objective is to support efforts to spearhead tertiary education, advance research innovations and provide professional services.
We are looking for a Research Fellow to work on an on-going project on risk analysis of subdaily rainfall events. The role will focus on rainfall network and statistical analysis, rainfall extreme evaluation, and climate change impact assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out research works on rainfall analysis, network construction, and climate change impact assessment
- Publish journal papers
- Coordinate with other research staff or students in project discussions and deliverables
Job Requirements:
- PhD in Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, or related fields
- A good academic publication record
- Familiar with a few key engineering software such as MATLAB, Python, R-language, and ArcGIS, etc.
- Good to have knowledge of network analysis, machine learning, neural networks, rainfall analysis, or multivariate statistical analysis skills
- Working experience is not required but some post-doc experience will be a plus
