The Role:
The Technical services Team works around the clock on utilities and infrastructure systems to maximize performance and availability. Through a combination of preventative and corrective maintenance they ensure these systems operate as intended, and when they don’t, they’re returned to service as soon as possible.
This role is specifically tailored to the Gigafactory Berlin waste water treatment operation, previous experience with industrial waste water is preferred. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of chemical and physical water treatment processes.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and plan existing water treatment systems including wastewater treatment
- Plan start-up and commissioning activities for new systems, expansion and retro-fit projects
- Develop and plan training programs for operators for water systems
- Integrate and standardize best safety practices for all chemical distribution
- Understand and apply Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) concepts for incident prevention
- Assist in troubleshooting of system operational issues
- Update water quality monitoring and analysis program
- Coordinate monthly system operational cost analysis; drive improvement based on analysis
- Responsible for monitoring current system demands and capacity concerns
- Develop and update critical spares, consumables and chemical lists for systems
- Investigate ways to reduce the cost of operation and maintenance
- Coordinate with Environmental team for any compliance issues / improvements
- Create and modify standard operating procedures (SOPs), system manuals, Sequence of Operation (SOO) documentation
What You’ll Bring
- Background in working as a mechanical, chemical and process engineer, maintenance or operation experience in manufacturing environments
- Experience in wastewater management planning
- Ability to interface with multiple engineering discipline
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in technical German and English is mandatory. Further Languages are of advantage.
- Strong relationship management and communication skill
- Experienced with Microsoft packages (e.g., Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint and MS Project)
