The Team Leader Water Quality & Resources plays a leading role in managing our Drinking Water Management System and ensuring the delivery of safe drinking water for customers.

In this role you will lead a team to implement operational system improvements in relation to drinking water compliance, strategy and product quality management.

This role is a full-time ongoing opportunity, including a monthly RDO and flexible work options.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the Water Systems team of three employees including two officer’s and a senior role.
  • Manage the Drinking Water Quality Management System.
  • Organise and lead regulatory audits and address subsequent opportunities for improvements.
  • Schedule and prioritise your own work to manage routine tasks, as well as projects from conception to completion.
  • Deliver planned programs, projects and consultancies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including with other organisations to discuss specialist matters.
  • Provide specialist advice or information to the public, regulators, customers, staff, contractors, and other interested parties.
  • Develop and review water quality and water resource related policies, systems, and procedures for use within the Corporation and public, including the delivery of the Annual Water Outlooks and the Drought Preparedness Plan.
  • Oversight of key operational contracts.

Key Selection Criteria

To be in consideration for this position please directly address in your application how you meet the following key selection criteria:

  1. Your experience leading a team including developing, mentoring and supporting a team to achieve objectives.
  2. Your experience solving complex problems with the ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities to support an excellent customer experience.
  3. Your experience in verbal and written reporting including your experience customising reports to a diverse audience, including senior management, government agencies and colleagues.
  4. Your experience and knowledge relating to the delivery of Safe Drinking Water, including Quality Management Systems.
  5. Your experience and knowledge relating to water resource management, such as monitoring of bulk entitlements and water trading OR water treatment and reticulation processes.

Position Information

  • An attractive salary range of $104,078 to $116,623 plus 12% superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
  • This is a full time, ongoing
  • Successful applicants will be required to undertake pre-employment checks including a police check and/or pre-employment medical and functional testing where applicable.
  • Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
