Key Responsibilities / Scope of Work
- Lead research and implementation of programmes related to WASH, IWRM, water security, and water governance.
- Provide leadership to the WASH, Water Resource Management & Governance team and ensure high-quality policy research and programme implementation.
- Develop research design, field studies, data analysis, and quality assurance for projects.
- Develop project proposals, frameworks, and funding strategies.
- Build and manage partnerships with government departments, research institutions, NGOs, and donors.
- Support evidence-based policy engagement at state and national levels.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Postgraduate degree in Public Health Engineering, Water Resource Management, Hydrology, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Ph.D is desirable.
- Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of relevant professional experience in the water and/ or WASH sector. Demonstrated experience in policy research, programme implementation, experience of leading a diverse team, and engagement with government and parastatal organisations.
Required Skills for Potential Candidates
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Deep understanding of issues related to water governance, WASH, public service delivery, utilities, IWRM, hydrology and water economics in India.
- Proven leadership and multi-project management capabilities.
- Experience in proposal development and resource mobilisation.
- Ability to work independently in a mission-mode, inter-disciplinary environment.
