TENDER NOTICE
Background
Harhua Block, Varanasi District, Uttar Pradesh District is facing increasing challenges related to declining groundwater levels and irregular water availability, particularly in community-level institutions such as Anganwadi Centres (AWCs). These centres play a vital role in child development, nutrition, and community welfare; however, many lack sustainable water management systems.
Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) is an effective, low-cost, and environmentally sustainable solution for groundwater recharge and water conservation. Installation of Rooftop Rainwater Harvesting Systems in Anganwadi Centres will improve water security while promoting awareness on water conservation among local communities.
2. Objective of the Assignment
The key objectives of the project are:
- To enhance groundwater recharge Harhua Block, Varanasi District, Uttar Pradesh
- To ensure sustainable water availability in Anganwadi Centres.
- To reduce dependency on external water sources.
- To promote awareness on water conservation at the grassroots level.
- To develop a replicable model of Rooftop Rainwater Harvesting for rural institutions.
- To improve hygiene and sanitation conditions in Anganwadi facilities.
3. Nature of Work
Activity:
Construction and Installation of Rooftop Rainwater Harvesting Systems with Filtration Chamber and Recharge Pit.
Place of Work:
25 Anganwadi Centres (AWCs), Harhua Block, Varanasi District, Uttar Pradesh
