| Qualification | Bachelor’s degree in public health, water or sanitation or a related discipline from an accredited academic institution (essential). |
| Sector experience | Minimum of Two years of relevant professional experience in public health, WASH, or related field within the humanitarian context. Experience in hygiene promotion and/or hygiene promotion supervision. Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations. Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced people, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage. year/s of demonstrable relevant experience in boreholes drilling, water system construction & others WASH related activities (essential). |

Overview of position
Our client is implementing WASH activities in Erati and Memba, Nampula, mainly related to hygiene promotion and distribution of hygiene kits to conflict affected communities.
In coordination with CTG, our client is seeking to hire two (2) qualified staff to be field base, one in Memba and one in Erati, in order to ensure good quality of the work at the site level.
Role objectives
Under the overall supervision of the Programme Manager (WASH) and direct supervision of National Officer (WASH) in Pemba, Mozambique. The successful candidate will work as a member of the WASH team to assist the monitoring and implementation of the project activities in Memba/Erati (Nampula) and any other support that might be required for the successful implementation of the WASH projects in that location.
Expected Output :
- Assist in the implementation of WASH activities in Memba/Erati, Nampula
- Assist in sharing information for the preparation of technical documents.
- Assist in monitoring field activities and supervising local hygiene promoters.
- Retrieve, compile, summarize and present information/data on specific project topics
- Support administrative coordination of project implementation, involving liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow up on administrative actions, etc.
- Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery and bringing them to the attention of the supervisor
- Organize meetings, workshops and training sessions for local community and labours.
- Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Project reporting
Communication with and reporting to Pemba team will be in the following channels:
- WhatsApp/phone calls: daily updates, pictures, follow up
- Weekly online meeting: activity progress report
- Weekly report: activity progress report
