Skills/Qualifications
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks, amongst others:
• Dissection of marine organisms and extraction of biological tissues.
• Processing of biological samples for the extraction of antibiotics and hormones.
• Identification of contaminants: antibiotics and hormones, using various analytical and chemical characterisation techniques.
• Processing of data resulting from the analysis of contaminant concentrations and statistical analysis.
• Environmental risk assessment.

Eligibility criteria
Relevant qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Marine Science, Biology, Chemistry, or combined degrees resulting from a combination of the aforementioned degrees.
Experience: Experience in analysing contaminants in sediments, water and/or biological material of marine origin. Experience in assessing the environmental risk posed by emerging contaminants.
Languages: English, at C1 level or above
