Economic analyses to support agri-environmental policies and water and soil resource policies

Offer Description

The assignment is linked to activities planned following the collaboration agreement for the study “Implementation of the Economic Analysis under the WFD in support of planning for the Po River Basin District” and the Showcase project completed at the end of 2025. In particular, the activities will involve in-depth analyses or methodological developments related to: • the economic assessment of innovative policy interventions for the protection of water, soil, and biodiversity; • the analysis of the impacts and performance of a selected set of measures, also through simulation tools; • the identification of the optimal design of measures; • the cost-benefit analysis of interventions. A topic of particular relevance will concern forms of technological innovation (digitalization, carbon farming) and organizational innovation (citizen science, nature credits), and their interaction with the design of the measures.
