Offer Description
We are looking for:
one person per associate position of senior assistant, for the scientific field of technical sciences, scientific field of chemical engineering, scientific branch of environmental protection in chemical engineering, on the project “AdSorB – Advanced wastewater treatment by repurposing biochar obtained from sludge from treatment plants“, financed by the Croatian Science Foundation, for a definite period of time (2 years), full-time.
Applicants who apply for this position are obliged to meet the conditions prescribed by the provisions of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (OG 119/22) and the Statute of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Civil Engineering.
In addition to the general requirements, candidates should:
- have completed doctoral studies in the field of technical sciences,
- have relevant scientific research experience in the field of chemical engineering or related disciplines,
- show a tendency for teamwork and participation in scientific research projects.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- experience in research related to water treatment and purification,
- knowledge and application of advanced technologies in environmental protection,
- experience in working with adsorption processes or development/application of adsorption materials,
- experience in process or material optimization in the field of chemical engineering.
The application for the position must include: a handwritten application, CV, diploma, appropriate proof of citizenship, electronic record of data recorded in the registry of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute and evidence proving the existence of the necessary mandatory conditions. If a person who has obtained a higher education qualification in a foreign country is applying for the competition, he or she should submit proof of the initiation of the procedure for the recognition of the foreign higher education qualification.
The condition for the selection of teachers and associates of a foreign citizen is proof of knowledge of the C2 level of the Croatian language, except for applicants who are employed through international projects and do not participate in classes in the Croatian language.
