Role Description
This is a casual remote role for a Civil Engineering Lecturer with a focus on Water Resources Engineering. The lecturer will be responsible for delivering and developing course materials, teaching theoretical and practical concepts, assisting students with technical inquiries, and assessing their progress through assignments and examinations. Additional responsibilities include staying updated with advancements in water resources engineering and incorporating industry trends into the curriculum to ensure relevant, practical education.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree qualification ( or Vocational Competency with evidence – AQF Level 8 or higher).
- Holds the TAE40122 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or be keen enroll and/or be working towards completing it.
- Eligibility for professional membership with Engineers Australia or an equivalent international body (highly desirable).
- Expertise in Water Resources Engineering and Civil Engineering principles.
- Expertise in Environmental Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Industry Experience:
- Substantial professional experience in water resources engineering, such as:
– Hydrology or catchment management
– Water infrastructure planning or design
– Irrigation or water distribution systems
– Public works or environmental water management
- Demonstrated ability to apply engineering theory to real-world projects.
