Role & responsibilities

  • Develop detailed civil engineering plans and technical specifications.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess quality and compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and fellow engineers.
  • Draft, review, and finalize technical reports, proposals, and related documentation.
  • Support procurement activities associated with project execution.
  • Ensure strict adherence to environmental legislation, water resource policies, and biodiversity conservation mandates.
  • Supervise the maintenance of park landscapes, including pathways, plantations, and efficient waste disposal systems.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Liaise with government authorities, local bodies, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and verify contractor bills.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor degree/Masters in Civil Engineering/ Water Management/Environment/Architecture/Urban Planning/Forestry)
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
  • Experience in independently managing projects and leading teams comprising contractors, laborers, and other site personnel.
  • Work Location – Vellore: Lakes under the maintenance project (field-based role with regular site visits).

Job Types: Contractual / Temporary, Freelance
Contract length: 10 months

Pay: ₹25,000.00 – ₹35,000.00 per month
