Job Title: Hydrogeologist

Job Summary

We seeking a qualified Hydrogeologist to support groundwater and spring rejuvenation activities under the SARRA Project in Uttarakhand. The role involves conducting hydrogeological studies, preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), and providing technical support for spring and stream management. The candidate will be responsible for field investigations, groundwater assessment, GIS analysis, and coordination with government departments for project implementation and approvals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct groundwater surveys and hydrogeological field investigations.
  • Study soil, rock formations, and aquifer characteristics.
  • Monitor groundwater levels and water quality.
  • Prepare hydrogeological maps, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Identify suitable locations for borewells/tube wells and water recharge structures.
  • Provide technical inputs for watershed management and water conservation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and water resource regulations.
  • Preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) related to spring and stream rejuvenation.
  • Completion of Geology and GIS components in the DPR.
  • Presentation of DPRs before concerned government departments for technical approval.
  • Coordination with departmental authorities for DPR review and approval processes.
  • Providing technical clarifications and resolving queries raised by departments.
  • Assisting in facilitating the release of departmental payments related to approved DPRs.

Required Qualifications

  • M.Sc. / M.Tech in Geology, Hydrogeology, Earth Science, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant field experience (preferred for project-based assignments).
  • Knowledge of groundwater assessment and hydrogeological analysis.
  • Experience in water resource management projects.

Skills Required

  • Expertise in GIS and Remote Sensing tools.
  • Strong analytical and field survey skills.
  • Knowledge of groundwater laws and environmental compliance.
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills.
  • Ability to travel to field project locations in Uttarakhand.
  • Good communication, coordination, and presentation skills.

Pay: ₹31,169.16 – ₹50,000.00 per month
