Skills/Qualifications
The candidate will carry out the following tasks, among others: .
• Analysis of medium- and high-resolution satellite imagery.
• Use of algorithms for automatic coastline extraction from satellite imagery.
• Analysing morphological data (GPS-RTK, photointerpretation) and presenting this data at different levels of detail and complexity .
• Analysing oceanographic data (wave time series)

Eligibility criteria
Relevant qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marine Sciences (highly relevant)
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences (moderately relevant)
Master’s degree in Integrated Coastal Zone Management or Oceanography (highly relevant).
Experience:
• Experience in the study of morphodynamic processes and the evolution of coastal zones.
• Experience in the analysis of morphological and oceanographic data in coastal zones, particularly in relation to the effects of extreme events.
• Experience in the preparation and design of field campaigns.
• Experience in the use of Matlab, Python and GIS.
Other: Published articles, participation in conferences, and involvement in research projects directly related to the study of morphological changes in coastal areas will be viewed favourably.
