Research Assistant position in climate and health adaptation

Our research combines natural sciences and technology with social sciences and is often interdisciplinary. More than 300 people from over 30 countries work at the department, both in Uppsala and at Campus Gotland.

The Programme for Air, Water, and Landscape Science encompasses education and research in meteorology, hydrology, environmental analysis, and physical geography. More information on the programme’s science can be found at: LUVAL.
You will work in close collaboration with international experts in public health, health science, hydrology, climate science, social science, and statistics. You will also be part of the Swedish Centre for Impacts of Climate Extremes (climes, www.climes.se). Climes is a collaboration between Uppsala University, Lund University, and RISE. The centre is at the core of an interdisciplinary research community and regularly coordinates scientific meetings, international exchanges, and training opportunities.
This is a temporary position at 100% full-time equivalent (FTE) for 1 year. You will contribute to a Delphi study on climate and health adaptation. The position is based at the Department of Earth Sciences, Uppsala University.
Duties
Your main task will be to support data collection and coordination across different rounds of the Delphi process, including communication with international experts, organising surveys, and helping to analyse and summarise responses. By upholding high standards of efficiency and professionalism, your work will direclty contribute to impactful outcomes in the field of climate and health research.
Requirements
We are seeking a motivated and organised individual with a Bachelor’s degree in public health or a related field. You should have experience working in international contexts and be comfortable adapting to diverse cultural settings. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential. As a person, you are curious, highly motivated, and persistent. Experience in projects related to climate and health is required.
Excellent spoken and written English is required. You should enjoy working collaboratively, as the role involves interaction with international research networks and partners.
Additional Qualifications
Knowledge of additional languages beyond English is an advantage.
