Applied Sciences for Life – In this spirit, Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT) boasts a unique range of subjects encompassing all aspects of life. We are among the leading universities for applied life sciences and green technologies. We educate our students to become responsible specialists and leaders, optimally prepared for their careers. HSWT’s researchers teach and conduct research at three campuses (Freising, Triesdorf, and Straubing) on socially significant issues such as sustainable land use, climate change, biodiversity, food technology, biotechnology, and renewable energies.

Our Triesdorf campus is located approximately 60 km southwest of Nuremberg. Through cooperation with the “Triesdorf Education Center” institutions for agriculture, energy, nutrition, food, and the environment, valuable synergies are created for application-oriented university education and research.

The professorship at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering, Triesdorf Campus, is expected to be filled by the summer semester of 2027 or later.
