Overview
We are seeking a motivated Civil / Water Resource or Environmental Engineering Apprentice to join our team.
Your role
- Work as part of the AtkinsRéalis Water Management Consultancy (WMC) team.
- Work on a range of projects relating to flood/river modelling/surface water management/water quality modelling.
- Work to high standards, ensuring the right first‑time delivery.
- Ownership of the work of self.
- Contribute to technical discussions/meetings positively through knowledge sharing.
About you
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, / Water Resource or Environmental Engineering from a recognised University.
- Demonstrable knowledge of hydraulic modelling as part of academic projects.
- Experience in using design or hydraulic modelling software for academic projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) e.g. MapInfo, ArcGIS or QGIS is preferred.
- Good report writing skills and fluency in English.
- Value addition through innovations and automation in project delivery.
- Candidates should have a clear and demonstrable technical understanding of flood risk assessment, water quality, and related issues, including, hydraulics and hydrology.
