The role involves a mix of office‑based and field work. You’ll carry out site visits where needed to verify information, resolve data or technical issues, and support confidence in water metering and reporting. You’ll also work closely with consent holders, service providers, and internal teams to ensure information is complete, consistent, and recorded correctly in Council systems.
This is a hands‑on, practical role for someone who enjoys working with data, systems, and people, and who takes pride in keeping complex information accurate and up to date.

- The ability to build effective working relationships with consent holders, service providers, and internal teams
- A practical, organised approach to managing records, follow‑ups, and multiple workstreams
A sound understanding of farming systems and the practical operation of irrigation practices will be important for this role. Familiarity with the Resource Management (Measurement and Reporting of Water Takes) Regulations 2010 and 2020 amendments, along with experience using Hilltop or similar time‑series data tools, relational databases, or GIS, would be an advantage.
