In 1982, Dr. Dwarkadasji Lohiya laid the foundation of Marathwada Navnirman
Lokayat (MANAVLOK), a voluntary organisation, working for the socioeconomic
upliftment of the rural poor in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra State in India.
The organisation is working in the sectors of Watershed, Agriculture, Disaster Relief
Services, Gender Equality, Elder and Disabled care, as an approach to integrated
rural development.
MANAVLOK is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Coordinator to lead the
implementation and overall coordination of the Soil and Water Resource
Management Program in Buldhana District. The Program Coordinator will be
responsible for strategic planning, execution, monitoring, and stakeholder
coordination to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of project outcomes.
The role requires strong leadership, program management, and community
engagement skills, along with the ability to work closely with field teams, technical
experts, government departments, and donor representatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Implementation
? Prepare watershed development plans.
? Manages the Planning, Implementation & Monitoring of Water Resource
Project
? Schedule activities like check dams, farm ponds, and plantations.
? Ensuring Compliance with Environmental Regulations.
Field Coordination
? Coordinate with community mobilizers, village representatives, Local
stakeholders’ self-help groups, and village watershed development
committees.
? Supervise field activities and ensure work quality.
? Stakeholders’ engagement in project activities
Community Mobilization
? Conduct village meetings, orientation programs, awareness programs,
capacity building trainings, farmers’ field schools, water budgeting trainings,
and exposure visits, etc.
? Work with farmers, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Local stakeholders, and
watershed committees.
Monitoring & Reporting
? Daily Tracking of project activities, coordination with community mobilizers,
and preparing a progress report.
? Maintain documentation of project activities and convergence work.
? Regular Field Visits & Assess Watershed Conditions and livelihood
interventions
? Supervise and guide community mobilizers/ social animators, watershed
committees, self-help groups, and village volunteers.
Resource Management
? Facilitate convergence with government schemes and local institutions
Eligibility Criteria:
Education:
? Postgraduate degree in Rural Development, Agriculture, Social Work,
Environmental Science, Development Studies, or related field.
Experience:
? Minimum 5-7 years of experience in managing rural development or watershed
projects.
? Experience in handling donor-funded programs preferred.
? Strong understanding of watershed management, community institutions,
and rural livelihoods.
? Willingness to travel extensively and work in rural project areas.

Compensation & Benefits:
? Salary Range: ?35,000 – ?40,000 per month, depending on skills and
experience, with an annual increment of approximately 5% based on
performance and organizational policies.
