Job Description

• Water and Wastewater Hydraulic Modelling Engineer / Senior Technologist

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Prepare and edit 2D drawings, including plans, profiles, and cross-sections, using MicroStation. 
  • Import, reference, and coordinate design data from Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer, or other modeling platforms. 
  • Support utility and infrastructure design teams in developing construction drawings, layouts, plan & profiles and as-built documentation. 
  • Manage ProjectWise, BIM 360, ACC environments for drawing control, versioning, and collaboration. 
  • Generate drawing sheets, annotation, dimensions, and labeling in accordance with project templates and QA/QC procedures. 
  • Assist with data translation, such as converting between DWG and DGN formats while maintaining data integrity. 
  • Asset Planning Wastewater and Water Networks. Assess both Pre-Connection
  • Undertake network capacity assessments to determine if capacity is available for new development to connect.
  • Design solutions to overcome network capacity constraints.
  • Undertake data gathering and liaison Asset Performance –
  • Scope hydraulic solutions to address network constraints to facilitate growth from single and multiple developments.
  • Review solutions against long-term plans to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Candidate will work on Cananda, USA, UK&I, the Middle East and Australia projects.

Here’s what we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in MicroStation-based drafting for civil or wet utility projects including Gravity & Pressure network.
  • 5+ years of experience in InfoWorks ICM and InfoWater Pro hydraulic modeling for civil or wet utility projects including Gravity & Pressure network, including Arc GIS.
  • Should have experience using MicroStation Connect Edition software & Open Road Designer software in specific to Wet Utilities Design. Like Plan & Profiles.
  • Working experience on ROP & COT MicroStation Seed files would be preferable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
  • Masters degree or equivalent, would be an advantage
  • 5+ years Experience
  • Registered as a Candidate with ECSA
