What will you be doing day to day?
Join our Water Resources team and be part of delivering real-world projects that improve flood resilience, drainage design, and sustainable water
management. This role is ideal for graduates with a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree who are eager to develop their skills and make a meaningful impact.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assisting in the design of drainage systems for urban developments, roads, and infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient stormwater management.
- Supporting the development of flood models using industry-standard software (e.g., TUFLOW, HEC-RAS) to assess flood behaviour and risks.
- Applying Australian Rainfall and Runoff (ARR) guidelines to hydrological assessments, catchment analysis, and stormwater design.
- Contributing to highway and road drainage design , including culvert and stormwater pit layout, pipe hydraulics, and erosion control measures.
- Supporting the assessment and design of water quality treatment measures , such as bio-retention basins or wetlands, to meet sustainability goals.
- Assisting in the preparation of technical reports, flood mapping and calculations for client and regulatory submissions.
- Processing and interpreting GIS flood model results to produce flood maps, catchment delineation, and spatial analysis for planning and design.
- Collaborating with experienced engineers and professionals across disciplines to develop holistic water management solutions.
- Engaging with clients and stakeholders to support project approvals and compliance with industry regulations.

About You
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil or Environmental) or equivalent
- Passion for learning and problem-solving
- Australian Citizen, PR or NZ Citizen.
- Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post-graduation
