Job Description:

  • Lead in the planning and implementation of all M&E activities
  • Quality assurance for all WASH M&E activities
  • Lead the analysis and synthesis of M&E data for programme quality improvement
  • Lead research, evidence gathering, reporting and dissemination
  • Safeguarding
  • Other activities

Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Social Science, Water Resource Management, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and formal communication
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office
  • Good analytical skills with appropriate attention to detail
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and reporting skills
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to work with a wide range of people from different backgrounds
  • High integrity, reliability and dependability
  • A minimum of 3 years’ practical experience in M&E system coordination/implementation for field programmes in an international non-governmental organization or other international body
  • Certification in M&E and in conducting assessments/rapid assessments or equivalent experience

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience :

  • Ability to conceptualize and put into practice well researched initiatives
  • Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance systems and continuous improvement, with particular emphasis on integration of accountability measures into all aspects of the project cycle
  • Knowledge of WASH principles and practice
  • Knowledge of technology for tracking WASH data
  • Knowledge of data/statistical programmes (e.g. SPSS, Stata)
  • Experience in working on donor funded programs
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems
