The Government of Belize has received a loan from the World Bank for the execution of a five-year project – the Belize Blue Cities and Beyond Project, which will be under the management of the CEU. The Project aims to improve Belize’s management capacity for sustainable coastal and blue economy development, increase safe water supply and reduce land-based pollution discharges at targeted urban areas, and in case of an Eligible Crisis or Emergency, to respond promptly and effectively to it.
The Ministry of Finance invites qualified individuals to apply for the contractual position of Project Support Officer, who will support the National Climate Change Office (NCCO) in coordinating, tracking, and reporting on assigned activities under the Belize Blue Cities and Beyond Project. The objective of this consultancy is to support effective project implementation by working under the guidance of NCCO technical officers and project leads to maintain organized documentation, monitor progress across consultancy assignments, facilitate communication among stakeholders, and ensure timely follow-up, accurate record keeping, and compliance with project reporting requirements.

The selection for this contractual position will be conducted in accordance with the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (February 2025) and the Consultant Guidelines (2011), using the Individual Consultant Selection method. The process will also adhere to the procurement policies and the best practices of the Government of Belize. This selection is open to all eligible individuals as defined by the referenced policies.
