In this role, you’ll:


Join the newly established Prioritisation and Asset Management (PAM) team in a critical role where you will use your expertise in hydrological and hydraulic management to ensure hydraulic risk is embedded in asset strategies, renewals, and prioritisation plans, supporting safe, reliable, and resilient infrastructure.


You will lead condition assessments and failure investigations, analyse root causes, and provide clear, actionable advice to guide asset lifecycle management, risk mitigation, and long-term maintenance. You will also prepare evidence-based business cases and reports, translating complex technical data into strategic recommendations that drive the reliability, resilience, and sustainability of Transport’s road network.


This is a permanent role.

About you


You are an experienced asset management leader with a strong track record in developing and implementing asset maintenance strategies and programs that support effective whole-of-life management of transport asset condition.


You bring extensive experience in preparing asset management plans and leading teams of project managers and external service providers to deliver high-quality, fit-for-purpose outcomes.


You are a collaborative and capable leader, skilled at guiding and motivating multidisciplinary teams of technical specialists while effectively working with stakeholders across disciplines. You translate complex technical information into clear, actionable advice that drives strategic and operational decisions.


You hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering, environmental science, hydrology or related discipline, or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience.
