About the Position
The Manager — Water & Sustainability will lead the design and technical development of water resilience and sustainability programs aligned with CSR, ESG, and philanthropic priorities.
This role requires a strong scientific and systems understanding of water ecosystems, combined with the ability to translate that knowledge into implementable CSR programs, partnerships, and field execution pathways.
The incumbent will work closely with corporate partners, philanthropic organizations, technical agencies, and government stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Program Design & Technical Leadership
- Design water resilience and sustainability programs aligned with CSR and ESG priorities.
- Develop watershed, water conservation, groundwater recharge, water stewardship, and climate resilience program frameworks.
- Integrate scientific tools, hydrological understanding, and sustainability metrics into program design.
- Develop implementation roadmaps, technical guidelines, and monitoring frameworks.
Implementation Pathways
- Translate program concepts into implementable field models and execution plans.
- Support pilot design, scale-up strategies, and multi-district implementation models.
- Provide technical oversight to implementation partners and field teams.
- Ensure outcome-oriented program delivery.
CSR & Sustainability Alignment
? Align water programs with:
- Corporate CSR priorities
- ESG frameworks
- Climate resilience strategies
- Water stewardship commitments
? Support proposal development and client engagement for water programs.
Partnerships & Knowledge Development
? Work with:
- Hydrologists
- Technical agencies
- NGOs
- Government departments
? Develop knowledge products, concept notes, and technical briefs on water resilience.
Mandatory Qualification and Experience:
? Master’s degree in:
- Water Resources
- Hydrology
- Environmental Engineering
- Climate Science
- Natural Resource Management
- Sustainability
- Or related fields
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in:
- Water conservation
- Watershed development
- Groundwater recharge
- Water stewardship
- Climate resilience projects
- Experience in project design AND execution is mandatory.
- Experience working with CSR programs, foundations, or government projects is preferred.
