- DESCRIPTION (subject matter, expectations, remarks): The candidate should hold a PhD degree
in engineering and technical sciences in the discipline of environmental engineering, mining, and energy;
a doctoral dissertation related to hydrogen technologies or their applications in energy systems would be an asset. The candidate should demonstrate a publication record in highly ranked journals and possess expertise in hydrogen technologies, confirmed by completion of a relevant educational program or postgraduate studies. Practical knowledge of the HOMER Pro software is also required, evidenced by its use in research or project work.
Candidates for the above-mentioned position should:
- hold a PhD degree in engineering and technical sciences in the discipline of environmental engineering, mining, and energy;
- have a master’s degree grade point average of at least 4.5;
- demonstrate a publication record including papers published in highly ranked journals listed by the ministry responsible for science, valid as of the date of publication, in which the candidate is an author or co-author;
- have documented participation in research conducted within a foreign scientific project;
- have taken part in a foreign scientific or training mobility programme;
- possess knowledge in the field of hydrogen technologies;
- demonstrate practical knowledge of the HOMER Pro software;
- have documented active involvement in the organization of national and international scientific conferences;
- fulfil the requirements specified in the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text, Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) and in the Statute of PRz dated 27 June 2019 (consolidated text dated 20 March 2025);
- fulfil the requirements of Article 21 of the Act of 13 May 2016 on counteracting threats of sexual crime and protecting minors (consolidated text, Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1802, as amended);
- demonstrate proficiency in English at a good level;
- demonstrate proficiency in Polish at a native-speaker level.

- candidate’s declaration that the Rzeszów University of Technology will be their primary place of employment in the event of winning the competition,

The Rzeszów University of Technology reserves the right to close the competition without selecting a candidate.
Candidates will be notified in writing of the outcome of the contest.
A positive recommendation from the competition committee constitutes the basis for initiating the procedure leading to employment at the Rzeszów University of Technology in accordance with the procedure specifiedin the Statute of PRz. The final decision on employment shall be taken by the Rector.

- Your personal data will be processed for the purpose of conducting the recruitment process for an employment position at the Rzeszów University of Technology. Mandatory data (resulting from the Labour Code of 26 June 1974 – Journal of Laws of 2018, item 917) will be processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(b)1 of the Regulation, while any other data provided by you will be processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(a)2 of the Regulation.
- Providing personal data is obligatory under labour law provisions, whereas in the remaining scope it is voluntary and has no impact on the recruitment process.
- Your personal data will not be shared with external entities except in cases provided for by law, nor will they be transferred to a recipient in a third country or an international organisation.
- Your personal data will be stored for the duration of this recruitment process. In the event that no employment contract is concluded, paper documents will be returned to the address provided in the application documents, and electronic data will be deleted in a manner preventing their reconstruction.
- You have the right of access to the content of your data and the right to: rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, as well as the right to object to the processing of your personal data and the right to data portability.
- You have the right to withdraw consent to the processing of your personal data at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
- You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes the provisions of the Regulation.
- Your data will not be subject to automated decision-making processes (including profiling).
