This role sits within the Marine, Coast, Estuary and Flood Branch and is responsible for overseeing operational policy, providing technical support, and coordinating regional flood program delivery.
You’ll manage a team of 8-10 members providing strategic oversight and policy advice on the NSW Urban Flood Program to ensure a consistent, state-wide approach to floodplain management. The role involves working closely with the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, Reconstruction Authority, emergency services and local government to support flood risk reduction and build community resilience.
