The Department of Facility Maintenance (DFM), Storm Water Quality Division, is recruiting for four (4) Civil Engineer II positions located at Kapolei Hale.
What You Will Do
- Assist with engineering projects related to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Storm Water Management Program.
- Plan, design, construction management, product evaluation, research & development, system optimization, database management, and Geographical Information System (GIS) mapping.
- May participate in periodic cross training and supplementary work activities within the division to comply with regulatory obligations.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in an engineering specialty.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
One (1) year of non-registered professional civil engineering experience.

Substitution: A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from a regionally-accredited college or university will substitute for the one year of non-registered professional civil engineering experience.

NON-QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE
Having the required number of years of experience will not in itself be accepted as qualifying for the position. Your overall experience must have been of such scope, level and responsibility as to conclusively demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position. Work experience while in an engineering student intern position will not be creditable as equivalent to professional engineering experience
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of an appropriate valid driver’s license (Type 3), as required.
