ABOUT THE ORGANISATION – CEE

The Centre for Environment Education (CEE), established in 1984 and supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India, works to promote environmental conservation and sustainable development through education and action-oriented programmes. CEE has extensive experience in watershed development, natural resource management, climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable rural livelihoods across India.

About the Project – SBIF CONSERW- JALDHARA in Mahisagar District, Gujarat

CEE is implementing an Integrated Watershed Development and Natural Resource Management Project with support from SBI Foundation.

The project is being implemented in Bakor Block of Mahisagar District, Gujarat, a climate-vulnerable region facing challenges related to water scarcity, land degradation, and livelihood insecurity. The project aims to enhance water security, soil health, ecosystem resilience, and rural livelihoods through a participatory watershed-based approach.

Key interventions include:
• Soil and water conservation and water harvesting structures
• Groundwater recharge and watershed treatment works
• Strengthening of community institutions such as Watershed Committees (WCs) and Water User Groups (WUGs)
• Community capacity building for sustainable water governance
• Promotion of climate-resilient natural resource management practices

Position :
Project Coordinator – Watershed/ Water Resource Management

Location: Bakor, Mahisagar District/ Ahmedabad

Experience Required: 7–8 years in Watershed / WRM / NRM projects

Key Responsibilities:
· Overall planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the project
· Preparation of annual action plans and budgets
· Supervision and mentoring of project team
· Coordination with Donner Agency, district administration, and line departments
· Ensuring quality execution of watershed and WRM interventions
· Strengthening community institutions and sustainability planning

Qualification:
· Postgraduate in Rural Development, Diploma Or B.E./ B.Tech. in Civil/ Agriculture Engineering, Environmental Science, or allied disciplines

Remuneration: Up to Rs.50,000/- per month (Maximum) based on Experience
