UL4C Ambassador

Viva con Agua

UL4C Ambassador (m/f/d) – Full time – as of now

YOUR TASKS – WHAT AWAITS YOU

Universal Languages for Change (UL4C) is the DNA of VcA—creative, joyful, connecting.

It goes far beyond classic behavioural change: as a creative lever, UL4C activates communities, promotes participation, and imparts lasting hygiene skills. Through the targeted combination of art, music, and sports, we create unique, joyful experiences that bring about lasting change.

As UL4C Ambassador, you are the heart and driving force behind Universal Languages for Change (UL4C) within Viva con Agua. You work at the intersection of WASH, behaviour change, learning, community, and culture – with the aim of creating lasting impact and joyful transformation.

At a strategic level, you further develop UL4C as a holistic, globally applicable approach. You shape and refine the overall UL4C framework, translate theory into practice, and continuously integrate best practices and lessons learned from our projects and partners. Together with colleagues and partner associations – especially in South Africa and Uganda – you iteratively evolve the methodology so it stays relevant, effective, and true to the Viva con Agua spirit.

You take the lead in developing manuals, toolkits, and Viva con Agua–specific BCC and IEC materials, ensuring they are high-quality, accessible, and inspiring to use. You also build and curate an internal UL4C learning space that enables teams and partners to learn, exchange, and grow together.

In close collaboration with project partners and implementation organisations, you support UL4C planning and budgeting, accompany project management processes, and help ensure that UL4C activities are implemented at a consistently high standard. A key part of your role is strengthening our impact orientation: you test, establish, and roll out the Results Based Framework (RBF), build capacities in its application, and help make impact visible and measurable.

You are also a storyteller and ambassador. You help develop a strong, coherent UL4C narrative, provide regular updates and knowledge sharing for the entire Viva con Agua cosmos, and represent UL4C externally – for example at conferences or in strategic exchanges. You support the positioning of UL4C as a global USP, including steps like trademark registration and visibility-building.

Finally, you contribute to the future of UL4C by helping acquire strategic program partners and funding, opening doors for scaling and long-term sustainability.

In short: you connect people, ideas, and practice – and help UL4C grow into a global movement for healthier lives and joyful change.
